The Leak Dragnet Widens: Judge Signs Off on the Subpoenas, X and GitHub Pulled In

A New York judge has approved Take-Two's subpoenas against Microsoft and Discord, and the net has grown past them: a further subpoena reportedly went to X seeking records on three accounts carrying the CyberLeek name, and a DMCA takedown hit a GitHub repository on 19 August.

This is the follow-on to the 21 August filing. A judge in the Southern District of New York has granted Take-Two's request, so Microsoft and Discord are now under a court order to produce identifying records tied to the suspected CyberLeek accounts by 4 September.

Reported alongside it, and not part of the same filing: a subpoena said to have gone to X covering three accounts with the CyberLeek name in them, and a DMCA takedown served on GitHub on 19 August over leaked material uploaded to a repository.

The leaks did not stop. Outlets counted a ninth video posted after the legal action became public.

Our position is unchanged: we do not host, embed or link the leaked footage, and we do not describe what is in it beyond what is needed to report that it exists. Nothing in it is confirmed by Rockstar.
