Take-Two’s Annual Meeting Is Tomorrow Morning. It Is a Vote on Directors and Auditors, Not a Trailer
The September 17 meeting (9 a.m. ET, virtual, audio-only) votes on ten directors, executive pay, a charter change and Ernst & Young. Nothing on the agenda is about GTA VI. The “Trailer 3 this week” posts are counting down to a governance call.
Confirmed — the meeting facts come from Take-Two’s own proxy statement, filed with the SEC on July 27, and its September 10 notice of the webcast.
What actually happens at 9 a.m. ET on Thursday, September 17: a virtual, audio-only meeting at virtualshareholdermeeting.com/TTWO2026, open to holders of record as of July 23. Five proposals are on the ballot, including electing ten directors, a non-binding advisory vote on executive compensation, a charter amendment limiting certain officer liability under Delaware law, and ratifying Ernst & Young as auditor. That is the whole agenda.
Why nobody should expect news: An annual meeting is a governance formality every listed company holds. Product talk happens on earnings calls, with guidance attached — and the last two GTA VI date changes were both announced alongside Take-Two’s quarterly numbers, not at a shareholder vote. The next earnings call is due in early November. Strauss Zelnick may well mention the game in passing; he does at every opportunity. A mention is not an announcement.
About “Trailer 3 this week”. Several posts have tied a third trailer to this date. Nobody at Rockstar has said anything about a third trailer. The last video Rockstar published was the Extended Look on August 27, and the Newswire has had no GTA VI post since. When Rockstar posts, it will be here within the hour, labelled Confirmed. Until then a shareholder meeting is a shareholder meeting.
