Spotify Put the Artists’ GTA VI Artwork on Billboards in Los Angeles, New York and Miami — With No Caption

Reported — the billboards exist and Spotify’s own X account posted photos of them, but neither Spotify nor Rockstar has announced a partnership or said what it involves.

What went up: on September 16, extended versions of the artwork the artists had posted on Instagram the day before appeared on billboards in Los Angeles, New York and Miami. Each carries the Spotify logo and nothing else — no caption, no date, no call to action. Spotify’s X account shared the photos without explaining them.

How it fits: the artists’ posts on September 15 were plainly coordinated (see our story), and Travis Scott’s read “Phase 1”. Billboards with a streaming service’s logo on them the next day make a music campaign around the game the obvious reading. It is a reading, not an announcement.

The limit of this story: nobody has said whether this means exclusive tracks, playlists, a Spotify feature in the game, or simply advertising. Rockstar has still published no GTA VI station, artist or tracklist. When Rockstar or Spotify says what this is, the label moves.

Updated September 17, 2026: Rockstar has now announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album with Atlantic Records, and singles by several of these artists are out. That is the campaign these posts and billboards were building to.

Update, October 8, 2026: Rockstar has since named six in-game radio stations — Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics — but still no station tracklists. See the stations story.
