Rockstar Names Six GTA VI Radio Stations, Adds Podcasts and Listening on Foot
Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics are confirmed, with on-demand podcasts and headphones for Jason and Lucia.
Confirmed — Rockstar announced it on the Newswire on October 8, in “The Music of Grand Theft Auto VI: In-Game Radio Stations,” and launched a Music page on its official GTA VI site the same day.
The six stations: Cocoteo FM (modern Latin music, hosted by El Martillo and La Gata); Back Country Radio (renegade country with MW and Delta Dawne, and reporter Mud Dog Mike on his Grassrivers airboat); AfroBank FM (African music with Burna and Palmsy); The Chamber 106.6 (classic metal with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom); Flash FM (pop with Robyn and Alex, which Rockstar calls “the Vice City institution”); and Dirty South Classics (regional rap and hip-hop with Trick and Trina). See them all on our Radio page.
New for the series: on-demand podcasts “for the first time ever,” and radio and podcasts “in vehicles and on foot” through headphones and earbuds connected to Jason and Lucia’s phones. Rockstar calls it “the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet,” spanning everything from Classic Rock to Talk Radio.
The limit of this story: Rockstar describes these as “six of the stations,” so the full lineup is still to come, and no station tracklists have been published. Short previews of each station are on Rockstar’s Music page.
