Rockstar Reportedly Told the GTA VI Cast to Stay Quiet Until November 19 — the Email Has Not Been Seen
A podcast host says Rockstar emailed the game’s actors after Stephen Root spoke up: “please remember your NDA. The date you may announce your involvement is still November 19th.” Nobody has published the email, and Rockstar has not commented.
Unverified — the only source is a podcast host’s account of an email nobody has shown. Outlets repeated it but did not confirm it; Insider Gaming told readers to “take this with a pinch of salt”.
The claim: James Jarvis, host of the GTA VI O’Clock podcast, said on the show that Rockstar had contacted everyone who did voice work on the game after Stephen Root said he is in GTA VI. The message he quoted: “We would like to remind everyone to please remember your NDA. The date you may announce your involvement is still November 19th.”
Why it is plausible: Root was the first cast member to speak publicly, and Rockstar has kept casting quiet before. For Red Dead Redemption 2 it confirmed Roger Clark as Arthur Morgan only two days before launch.
The limit of this story: we do not know how Jarvis got the message, and we have found no one else saying they received it. If it is real, expect no official cast list for Jason, Lucia or anyone else before November 19. Until Rockstar, or a recipient, confirms it, this stays Unverified.
