A Distributor’s CEO Flagged a November GTA VI Soundtrack — “20+ Songs” on Vinyl — Four Months Before Rockstar Did
On a 14 May earnings call, Alliance Entertainment CEO Jeff Walker said a Grand Theft Auto soundtrack was coming in November with “20+ songs”. Rockstar announced The Album on September 17 — with 34 tracks.
Confirmed — these are Jeff Walker’s own words, from Alliance Entertainment’s fiscal third-quarter earnings call on May 14, 2026, as recorded in the published transcript. GTA BOOM spotted them on September 21.
What he said: “we just came back from Music Biz this week, and we got like a home run coming out of Music Biz because there’s a Grand Theft Auto soundtrack that is coming same thing in November, and it’s got, I think, 20+ songs on it.” He added that it would be “a home run vinyl release for us also.”
On the game itself: “With respect to Grand Theft Auto, it’s gonna be a home run for Q4… We will be selling the game. We do buy direct from Take-Two.” Alliance is a wholesale distributor of games, music and film to retailers.
How it lines up: Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album on September 17 — a November release, on vinyl and CD, as Walker said. His “20+ songs, I think” undercounted: the album has 34 tracks.
He also said: “All the A-list artists each have a song on it. It’s a compilation of artists… Some of the songs are in the game. Some of the songs are additional songs.”
The limit of this story: Walker was talking to investors about his own sales, not speaking for Rockstar, and he hedged the track count himself. “A-list” is his description, not Rockstar’s.
Corrected September 22, 2026: this story originally said Walker’s “A-list artists” line was not in the transcript. It is — we missed it. The quote is now included above.
