Rockstar’s GTA VI Page Now Shows the ESRB Rating: Mature, With “Strong Sexual Content” and “In-Game Purchases”

Confirmed — read from Rockstar’s own GTA VI page and from PlayStation’s store pages on October 2, 2026. We could not open ESRB’s own database (it blocks automated readers), so the United States rating below is what Rockstar’s page shows.

United States: rockstargames.com/VI carries the ESRB Mature mark with the descriptors “Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Mature Humor, Nudity, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, Use of Drugs and Alcohol” and, on a separate line, “In-Game Purchases”. On September 23 the same page still carried ESRB’s “Rating Pending” notice, as we noted in the UK posters story. PlayStation’s US page has not caught up: it still reads “ESRB Rating Pending Mature 17+”.

Other regions, from PlayStation’s pages: in the United Kingdom, PEGI 18, with Drugs, Sexual Content, Extreme Violence, Nudity and In-Game Purchases. In Australia, R 18+, with Drug Use, High Impact Violence and Sex Scenes. In New Zealand, R18, with Drug Use, Graphic Violence, Nudity, Offensive Language and Sex Scenes.

What “In-Game Purchases” tells you: that something can be bought from inside the game. It does not say what. In September Take-Two’s CEO said there is “no recurrent consumer spending anticipated with regard to this launch”; the label does not contradict that and does not explain it either.

The limit of this story: PEGI’s public database returned no entry for GTA VI when we searched it on October 2, and Australia’s classification site did not load. So the PEGI, Australian and New Zealand ratings rest on PlayStation’s listings, not on the boards’ own pages, and no board’s written summary of the content has been seen.
