PEGI’s Written Summary of GTA VI Was Quoted by Several Outlets, Then Reportedly Taken Down
Push Square, Insider Gaming and RockstarINTEL quote PEGI’s content explanation: dismemberment, cocaine snorted “directly from their hand”, sex scenes. RockstarINTEL says the page was removed the same evening. We did not see it ourselves.
Reported — three outlets independently quote a written content summary they say was on PEGI’s database on October 2, 2026. We did not see that page: when we searched PEGI earlier the same day it returned no GTA VI entry, and RockstarINTEL reports that “PEGI have removed the age rating page” by 8 PM BST. The rating itself, PEGI 18, is confirmed on PlayStation’s UK page.
What they quote: violence that is “bloody with a high degree of realism,” with “detailed decapitation and dismemberment”; drug use described as frequent, where “cocaine can be carried around by the player and snorted directly from their hand at any time”; nudity and “scenes of sexual intercourse”; strip-club interactions; strong language; and discriminatory language on in-game TV shows and radio.
Why it matters: a rating board’s summary is written by people who reviewed the game, so it is the closest thing to a description of content Rockstar has not shown. It is also the kind of page that gets pulled when it goes up before a publisher expects it.
The limit of this story: until PEGI’s page is back, or another board publishes its own summary, these lines are the outlets’ quotes, not text we have read at the source.
