O2 Is Selling GTA VI Pre-Orders on Finance: £20 Upfront, Then £1.39 a Month for 36 Months
UK network O2 announced a 0% APR plan that works out at 4.6p a day, open to non-O2 customers too. In total that is £70.04 for one copy, paid over three years.
Confirmed — it is O2’s own offer, in a Virgin Media O2 press release dated September 21, 2026.
The terms as published: pre-order GTA VI with a £20 upfront payment, then “monthly payments of just £1.39 over 36 months (equivalent to 4.6 pence per day)”, at 0% APR. It is open to “both O2 and non-O2 eligible customers”, and the small print says finance is subject to status and credit checks, 18+, by Direct Debit, with credit provided by Telefonica UK.
The sum: £20 plus 36 × £1.39 comes to £70.04 — so the plan spreads out the cost of a single copy; it does not make it cheaper. The payments continue for roughly three years after the November 19 launch.
The limit of this story: the press release does not say which console or edition, or whether the copy is physical or digital, and it does not mention Rockstar or Take-Two. Check O2’s terms page before signing up.
