GTA VI Review Code Is Out, With a November 18 Embargo, an Insider Claims
NateTheHate says Rockstar has started sending review code to the press, with reviews allowed on November 18. Rockstar has said nothing.
Unverified — insider NateTheHate wrote on X on October 26: “Rockstar Games have begun to distribute review code of Grand Theft Auto 6 to media outlets. Review embargo is November 18th.” GTA BOOM reported the post the same day. Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has confirmed it.
It follows his earlier claim that copies would go out before the end of October. A November 18 embargo would put reviews online one day before the November 19 release.
GTA BOOM notes that no outlet has said publicly that it has a copy yet.
The limit of this story: it rests on one insider’s post. Treat the date as a rumour until an outlet says it has the game or Rockstar announces the embargo.
Updated October 30, 2026: a separate claim, that review copies show the reviewer’s name as a flashing watermark, was disputed on October 29. NateTheHate wrote: “To my knowledge, this is not accurate. Review copies of Grand Theft Auto 6 are not watermarked.” Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming said the same, adding that the builds have “insane security measures”. Rockstar has not commented on either claim.
