Druski’s Coulda Been Records Episode Carries a GTA VI Pre-Order Plug
The October 23 episode with Ali G opens a read for GTA VI and links the Ultimate Edition pre-order. Rockstar has not commented.
Reported — GTA BOOM reported on October 25 that Rockstar sponsored the latest episode of Druski’s comedy show Coulda Been Records. The episode is real: “Coulda Been Records OLD HEADS Auditions hosted by Druski & Ali G (Sacha Baron Cohen)” went up on Druski’s YouTube channel on October 23.
Its description says: “Pre-order the Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition now at https://www.rockstargames.com/VI/editions”. According to GTA BOOM, the episode’s sponsor read says it is “presented by Grand Theft Auto 6 from Rockstar Games.”
GTA BOOM points out that Rockstar rarely pays for this kind of creator spot. It is one more piece of the launch campaign.
What we don’t know: what the deal is worth, and whether more creator sponsorships are coming. Rockstar has said nothing about it.
