GTA 6 Side Missions
Rockstar has named two side missions so far, both in the Ultimate Edition. Everything else on this page is what the series has always had, labelled as expected until the game shows it. Pastimes like fishing and basketball are on Activities.

Both come from Rockstar's own Ultimate Edition description. The standard edition's side missions have not been listed.
Wyman's Classic Car Collection
A special commission to find and restore abandoned project cars across Leonida — in Rockstar’s words, to “revitalize them to their former glory”.
PTT Youngin$ Compound
Raid a Southside Vice City gang compound and collect the special items stashed inside. An Ultimate Edition benefit.

What earlier GTA games had
None of these is confirmed for GTA 6. They are here because every recent GTA has had its own version.
Strangers and oddballs
GTA V's Strangers and Freaks: short story chains with odd characters met around the map.
Random events
Street moments that trigger as you pass, like a robbery or a stranded driver. GTA V had dozens.
Vehicle jobs
Taxi, vigilante, paramedic and firefighter runs, a series staple from GTA III to San Andreas.
Contract work
Paid one-off jobs from a contact, like Lester's assassination missions in GTA V.
Property missions
Jobs that come with owning a business. GTA V tied them to the properties you bought.
Collectible hunts
Hidden items spread across the map, often with a reward for finding them all.
