Rockstar’s $399.99 “Vice City Collection” Is a Box of Merch — the Game Is Sold Separately

Confirmed — Rockstar announced it on the Newswire (“Pre-Order The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection Now While Supplies Last”) and the Rockstar Store lists it at $399.99, with the line “Grand Theft Auto VI game sold separately.” Push Square and RockstarINTEL report £349.99 in the UK, and RockstarINTEL also gives €399.99 and CA$559.99.

What is in the box, per the store listing: a Macca the Gator figure, Oakley Frogskins sunglasses, a Leonida Keys crossbody bag, a New Era 9FORTY snapback, a Macca the Gator magnetic mirror, a Chunkee the Manatee shot glass, a Vice City swizzle spoon, a Vice City razor-blade keychain, a Leonida Keys enamel pin set in a metal tin, a Leonida Keys sticker pack in a stash bag, and a double-sided souvenir poster with a map of Leonida.

So the editions have not changed. GTA VI itself is still sold as Standard and Ultimate; this is a collector’s box for the shelf, not a third edition of the game. It is also not the box in the photos that circulated earlier this month — those showed a T-shirt, a trucker cap and a welcome card, none of which is in this listing.

The limit of this story: when we checked, the store page said “Coming Soon” with no ship date. Push Square and RockstarINTEL report it ships on November 19, the game’s release day; RockstarINTEL also reports a limit of one per customer and that Asia, Latin America and Australia get pre-orders later. We have not seen those three details on Rockstar’s own page.
