Stop Killing Games to Fans: “Do Not Send These People Your Money”
The consumer-rights campaign the leakers seem to court has publicly disowned them. SKG Director General Moritz Katzner: “Do not send these people your money, no matter how much sympathy you may feel” — pointing at the QR codes and crypto-coin promos embedded in the leaked clips.
CyberLeek's manifesto borrows the language of consumer advocacy — so the actual consumer-advocacy movement drew a line. In a statement on r/StopKillingGames, Director General Moritz Katzner called the methods unacceptable: “using illegal means to make a point is unacceptable” — and warned that the damage lands on the thousands of developers who built the game, not the executives the manifesto attacks.
The money line is the one to remember, because the leaked clips carry QR codes pointing at a crypto coin that supposedly funds a “secret project” against other publishers: “Do not send these people your money, no matter how much sympathy you may feel.”
Amateur sleuths are meanwhile tracing the coin's wallet activity, betting the money trail gets found before the network intrusion does. Between this and the subpoenas, that bet looks reasonable.
