A Longer Cut of the GTA VI Launch Trailer Aired on TV During the Knicks–76ers Game on NBC

Viewers recorded the TV spot on October 20. Some scenes run longer than in the online trailer, and the shower kiss is cut.

This is Reported: RockstarINTEL compared viewers’ recordings of the ad with the online Launch Trailer. Rockstar has not posted the TV version itself.

The spot aired on the night of October 20 during NBC’s broadcast of the New York Knicks against the Philadelphia 76ers. One viewer wrote: “I just saw the commercial of GTA 6 during the Knicks vs Sixers game on NBC tonight.”

According to RockstarINTEL, the TV cut runs some moments longer, including Raul Bautista dancing, Jason nudging Lucia and Jason reaching for a knife after a chokehold, and the scene of Lucia at the plane’s landing gear comes after the dancing clip. The kiss in the shower is removed, as is a brief shot of Lucia’s ankle tag. A separate 60-second NBC spot drops a few of the opening scenes.

The limit: these are comparisons of recordings off TV, and the exact runtime of the longer cut has not been published. The online Launch Trailer is unchanged.
