Rockstar Releases the GTA VI Launch Trailer: 90 Seconds, Captured on PS5, Score by Justice
Dropped without warning five weeks before launch. It ends on “November 19, 2026 · Pre-order now” — and we went through every half second of it.
Confirmed — Rockstar posted it on October 15 on its YouTube channel and the Newswire (“Watch the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer”). The end card reads “November 19, 2026 · Pre-order now” and “Captured on PS5.”
The story it sets up, in Rockstar’s description as quoted by VGC: Jason and Lucia “have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America.” The trailer opens on Jason talking about trouble in the army — his tee reads “U.S. Army · Marauder · Combat Training School” — and a prison call from Lucia.
The music: Rockstar’s GTA VI music page now credits French duo Justice as the game’s original score composers, and lists their new single “Flower in a Hurricane” featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. VGC reports the trailer uses Justice’s music.
What is on screen, from our frame-by-frame pass: a “Welcome to The Keys” sign, Brian’s Marina, a Globe Oil station, a vault door, a runway under an airliner’s landing gear, a dirt bike jumping an elevated train, a wing-walker on a pink biplane over the beach, a helicopter shooting out a tower’s windows and a sheriff chase. The full timestamped list is on our Videos page.
The limit of this story: the trailer shows scenes, not missions. Who is in each shot beyond Jason and Lucia is not named, and we have not guessed. Release stays November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
