GTA 6 Gameplay and Map Appear to Leak — Group “CyberLeek” Says It’s a Protest Against Digital Pre-Orders
Two clips that look like genuine GTA 6 gameplay — Jason playing basketball outside his house, and Jason driving and attacking an NPC — plus an image claimed to be the full map, have spread online days before the Extended Look. The material points to a site and cryptocurrency belonging to a group calling itself CyberLeek, whose manifesto sets three “commandments” for publishers, led by a ban on digital pre-orders. Authenticity is unconfirmed; Rockstar has not commented, though Rockstar and Take-Two appear to be issuing takedowns.
Two videos and a map image surfaced online in August 2026. IGN describes them as “what looks like legitimate gameplay videos and an image of the full map”, while stating plainly that the authenticity remains unconfirmed and that it is unclear how old the assets are.
The material points to a website and a memecoin belonging to a group calling itself CyberLeek. Its manifesto attacks monetisation in games and lists three demands of publishers. The first: no paying for a game through digital storefronts before release and independent review, with physical pre-orders still permitted. Kotaku notes this maps directly onto GTA 6, which takes digital pre-orders and has no physical disc at launch — the boxed version is a download code. The manifesto also demands an end to “fake single-player DLC” and offline fallback states for single-player content.
The group frames Rockstar as a demonstration target: “If CyberLeek can reach Rockstar, no one is safe.”
What this does not change: the release date, the platforms, or the Extended Look premiere on 27 August. Rockstar has weathered larger leaks — over 90 videos and images from an early build leaked in 2022, and Trailer 1 leaked hours before its premiere in December 2023 — without altering its plans. Treat any “confirmed map” claim from these files with caution: nothing here has been verified by Rockstar, and the same files are being used to promote a cryptocurrency.
