GTA VI: An Extended Look Has Aired — About 27 Minutes of PS5 Gameplay, and the November 19 Date Holds

This is the first sustained look at GTA VI actually being played rather than cut for a trailer. Netflix’s listing states the footage was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5, which is the detail worth holding onto — nothing here is a pre-rendered target.

The two-protagonist system, shown rather than described

The Dazed interviews said you could swap between Jason and Lucia mid-mission. The Extended Look demonstrates it. The character you are not controlling is not parked in a corner: coverage of the demo describes Lucia moving with Jason through a building, the pair covering one another, and a getaway where one drives while the other shoots. You choose which seat you are in.

Mechanics that turned up

• Two ways into a locked car. A slim jim for the quiet option, or break the window — the latter shown as a short prompt rather than a single button press.
• Torch the getaway car: coverage shows the crew burning it and switching vehicles, though the wanted level stayed active.
• Gunplay reworked, compared by TheGamer to Red Dead Redemption 2’s weight with a faster edge. Weapons can be picked up off the ground.
• An inventory and interaction layer closer to RDR2 than to GTA V, down to petting dogs.
• Raul Bautista appears in playable footage — already in our character database.

What there is to do between missions

The demo moved through nightclubs, strip clubs, rally racing, diving, the gym, e-scooters, television, parties, diner robberies and smaller heists. The through-line is that the small crimes are systems now, not set pieces — and the streets are noticeably busier than GTA V’s Los Santos.

What it did not do

It did not move the date, announce a delay, or add a platform. November 19, 2026, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC date was given.
