The Extended Look Hits No. 1 on Netflix — and Briefly Bends the Whole Internet

Forbes reports the Extended Look went to No. 1 on Netflix, and Sensor Tower data put Netflix’s web visitors up roughly 125% on premiere day. Co-streams peaked near 4 million concurrent viewers on Twitch, YouTube and Kick, and the YouTube upload passed 14 million views inside two days.

The premiere numbers are outlet-reported rather than Rockstar-published, which is why this carries a Reported tag — but they all point the same way. Forbes put the Extended Look at No. 1 on Netflix the day after it aired and, citing Sensor Tower data first reported by IGN, put Netflix’s web visitors up about 125% against previous Thursdays.

Co-streams peaked at almost 4 million concurrent viewers across Twitch, YouTube and Kick, per Stream Charts — not counting Netflix itself — with reports of login trouble on Netflix and Twitch as traffic spiked. Once the video reached Rockstar’s YouTube channel at 9pm ET on the 27th, it cleared 14 million views in its first two days.

For scale: Trailer 2’s 475 million views in 24 hours remains the record the marketing beats are measured against. A 27-minute gameplay deep-dive was never going to move like a two-minute trailer — the notable part is that a games publisher put a preview on Netflix at all, and it topped the service.
