Cliff Richard Says He Had to Be Told “Devil Woman” Is in GTA VI
Asked by The Times about his 1976 hit turning up in GTA VI, Cliff Richard said “I was told this happened!” and called it a game show.
Reported — in an interview with The Times, reported by Dexerto on October 28, Cliff Richard was asked about his 1976 single “Devil Woman” being used in GTA VI. His answer: “I was told this happened!” He then asked: “The show is a game show, isn’t it, really? One of the biggest on TV?”
The song plays in Rockstar’s GTA VI: An Extended Look from August, and Dexerto says it will be on an in-game radio station. In September a streaming report said Cliff Richard gained about 230,000 monthly Spotify listeners in the week after the video.
The limit of this story: we have not read The Times interview itself, only Dexerto’s quotes from it. Rockstar has not published which radio station plays the song.
