Bloomberg: Rockstar Still Doesn't Know Who the Leaker Is — and the Netflix Reveal Isn't Moving
Per Bloomberg (via Kotaku): after a week of daily drops, Rockstar reportedly still can't identify CyberLeek or how the breach happened — despite the security lockdown built after the 2022 hack. Internally it's “all hands on deck”. Meanwhile the company has gone silent on social media, and the 27 August Extended Look is proceeding unchanged.
The most striking detail of the whole saga, reported by Bloomberg: a week in, Rockstar reportedly cannot identify the leaker or the method. This is a studio that eliminated remote work and rebuilt its security posture after the 2022 hack — and the breach happened anyway. The phrase that reached Bloomberg: “all hands on deck”.
Publicly, Rockstar's answer has been silence — at one point 48 hours without a single post across its channels while the clips kept dropping.
The plan holds regardless: An Extended Look premieres 27 August as scheduled — 3 p.m. ET on Netflix, free on YouTube at 9. Whatever the leaks showed came from years-old builds; Wednesday is the current game.
